AAPL 12/03 Test 18 190.86 +2.32 184.30 203.95 44M 45M 189.89
Current. Gapped higher then gave it all back, but found support at the 10 day EMA and rebounded to hold some gain on rising, above average volume. This is one of the tech leaders that is holding on and how it performs is key for the NASDAQ.

AAPL 11/20 Test 50 190.86 +2.32 175.11 198.95 44M 40M 189.89
Current.

BG 11/29 Cup 117.80 -1.57 116.55 133.85 1.5M 1.6M 121.48
Surged intraday but sold at the close to continue lower from the Tuesday selling as BG picks up above average volume. Nearing key support at the 18 day EMA near 115 at late October highs where BG needs to make a stand.

BGC 12/05 Asc Bse 75.78 -3.59 79.36 91.95 1.5M 1.5M 79.91
Current. Tough call given the gap and reversal on rising trade, but it held the 18 day EMA at the close so we decided to give it a chance to bounce. Needs to cut the selling off here at key support from the average and November highs.

BHP 12/03 Cup 76.18 +0.31 76.44 87.95 2.5M 6.5M 76.39
Current. Metals hanging in there this week as BHP showed some quiet action with low volume, holding the 50 day EMA as support intraday. Just taking it easy for now against a volatile market. Looks pretty solid.

BIDU 12/06 DB hdl 389.00 +10.62 395.38 454.00 8.7M 9M 389.89
Current. Nice rebound from the Tuesday selling at the 10 day EMA as BIDU gave a doji on average for some modest gains Wednesday. Still just resting after a great, late November breakout and ready to resume the move higher out of this very nice pattern once volume picks up again.

BLK 12/01 DB hdl 208.00 -5.75 202.88 228.95 886K 600K 217.39
Trailing Stop. Sold some more Wednesday on rising, now high volume and had to let this one go as it hit the stop loss mark on the way down. Held support at the early November high and 10 day EMA so watching for a new buy from here.

CF 12/10 Cup hdl 92.43 +1.66 93.05 111.98 1.8M 3M 90.39
Buy Not Issued. Moved the buy point a little lower to account for this nice test as CF bottomed at the 18 day EMA in this early December pullback. Doji Wednesday on below average volume to hold above the 10 day EMA and ready to enter once volume picks up if CF can continue higher.

CHL 11/28 Test 50 90.66 +1.26 95.75 104.95 3.9M 4.5M 92.78
Current. Nice rebound from the Tuesday low with above average volume Wednesday on some modest gains. CHL a solid China stock and looks good to start upside from here on the rising volume off key support from the 50 day SMA and November consolidation highs at 90.

CME 12/04 Dbl btm 688.17 +7.02 681.23 745.00 480K 9M 698.65
Rebounded from the Tuesday low with below average volume for some pretty decent gains. Nice job of holding support and expecting CME to post a bit more upside movement from here.

CMED 12/10 DB hdl 43.84 +0.84 45.68 54.95 572K 1M 42.94
Buy Not Hit. Doji in the short step higher from the Tuesday selling as CMED runs on rising, below average volume Wednesday and looks to hang around the lower 40s a bit longer after this doji. Needs to get the recovery move going and resume the early December DB hdl move higher for the buy, but with its foreign ties and nice pattern it looks very enticing.

CMG 12/04 Cup hdl 145.17 +0.32 140.21 164.00 435K 902K 147.87
Held at the Tuesday low to continue resting at the Cup hdl high from last week. Has fading, below average volume and looks to hang around here a bit longer until volume returns to start CMG into the recovery move.

COST 11/13 FlyPlat 70.19 +0.23 69.10 78.95 6.7M 7.2M 69.97
Current. Reasonably volatile session for COST Wednesday with above average volume and managing to close flat. Still doing a nice job of holding support at 70 from the 10 day EMA and mid October high. Needs to hold here and start upside again soon.

CTRP 12/08 Rev HS 59.84 +0.27 62.55 71.95 356K 1.2M 59.77
Buy Not Hit. Held the 10 day EMA for another session on low volume as CTRP continues to rest along its high from the late November breakout. Higher volume is all it takes from here to get the move going upside again and give us the buy. Love how it has ignored the selling, holding at the 18 day EMA and continuing to form its pattern.

CY 12/04 Cup 35.32 +1.24 35.90 41.65 5.9M 7M 35.22
Current. Doji in the short step higher Wednesday with below average volume for CY as it posted a nice rebound from the Tuesday selling. Bounced off the 18 day EMA for some modest gains and stalled at the late October highs as some intraday resistance. Needs to work over this resistance from here.

DRQ 11/19 Test BO 57.02 +0.52 57.89 67.95 410K 795K 55.48
Buy Not Issued. Still resting along the 10 day EMA with a doji Wednesday on fading, below average volume. Needs stronger volume to take it up from this testing low of the early November high and give us the buy.

DRYS 12/08 PreSplt 88.30 +3.03 93.48 111.95 3.2M 6M 88.78
Current. Still holding the 90 day SMA as support, DRYS has below average volume on a nice rebound from the Tuesday low Wednesday. Doji to use the 18 day EMA as support intraday Wednesday and looks to rest a bit here if volume does not return to take the move higher.

EDU 11/29 Test 50 81.20 +2.04 80.15 95.95 496K 650K 84.89
Current. EDU back above the 10 day EMA Wednesday after rebounding from the Tuesday selling at the 18 day EMA in the high 70s. Nice, rising below average volume that needs to continue picking up speed and get EDU moving higher from here.

ENR 11/20 Test 50 117.45 +1.00 112.06 127.95 444K 650K 115.48
Current. Gap higher Wednesday on below average volume for some nice gains as ENR closed at the early October highs. Critical point here at this prior high for ENR and needs stronger volume to take it past resistance from the October high, but it is showing excellent strength in a waffling market.

ESLR 11/15 Test 18 14.41 +0.68 14.17 16.95 3.4M 5.4M 14.31
Current. Doji in the gap higher as ESLR rebounded from the Tuesday low on below average volume. Modest move higher, just needs stronger volume to keep it going from here. Holding up well and a good recovery from Tuesday.

FCX 12/05 Rev HS 105.87 +3.16 103.68 119.85 11M 14M 106.32
Current. FCX posted a doji Wednesday as it gapped up from the Tuesday selling with some below average volume to hold the 50 day SMA as support. Possible resistance coming up here from the October and early November lows near 109, but expecting FCX to make that move.

GILD 11/27 Dbl btm 46.85 +1.01 44.51 50.75 8.9M 10M 46.27
Current.

GOOG 12/03 Cup hdl 699.35 +0.15 687.88 742.00 6.2M 8M 713.32
Current. Held near the Tuesday low a bit longer to use the 10 day EMA as support for a second, consecutive session. Below average volume here with GOOG needing stronger trade to really get the move going upside again. Altogether still in pretty good shape as it has progressively worked its way up from the mid November test of the 50 day EMA. Very stable.

GOOG 11/17 Test 50 699.35 +0.15 659.65 724.95 6.2M 8.6M 713.32
Current.

GSOL 11/17 Test 50 30.86 -0.21 29.95 36.95 318K 500K 31.78
Trailing Stop. Rebound high from the Tuesday low intraday but sold from there to continue the Tuesday selling with more below average volume. Hit the stop loss in the downside movement and had to be taken off the table.

ININ 11/03 Test BO 25.85 -0.14 26.84 32.31 353K 300K 26.88
Trailing Stop. Just could not stop the selling as it continued lower Wednesday on high volume. Hit the stop loss mark in the selling and had to be removed from the table.

IRM 12/11 Cup hdl 36.99 -0.06 37.95 43.95 597K 991K 36.22
Buy Not Hit. Gapped higher but closed flat, still holding the 10 day EMA in its handle. Still in an excellent pattern and ready to move higher.

LFC 12/10 Rev HS 83.00 +1.15 86.77 99.95 1.6M 3M 84.39
Buy Not Hit. LFC with a bit of rebound from the Tuesday selling as it posted some modest gains on low volume with a doji Wednesday. It is a decent start, but with this low volume LFC needs to kick it up a notch if it wants to give the buy point.

MA 11/10 Test BO 213.90 -3.60 191.89 219.95 4.3M 5M 214.32
Current. Testing Wednesday on a just above average volume after the Tuesday doji. Love how MA just nonchalantly minds its own business against a volatile market. Expecting a smooth test from here this week. Sweet.

MON 11/27 Test 50 103.04 +0.37 93.58 105.95 5.9M 5M 106.92
Current. Surged higher intraday but sold from there to close flat in the session with above average volume. Nice job of holding the 10 day EMA as support Wednesday as MON tapped the 18 day EMA(100.20) intraday. With the pickup in volume MON looks to head uphill from here soon, i.e. hold this near support after two iffy days.

MR 12/07 DB hdl 42.00 -0.40 43.38 52.45 1.2M 1M 40.67
Entered today. Gapped higher and looked solid as we waited for a bit of a test intraday and got it and decided to moved in. Slid lower from there with the market, but still in excellent shape to resume higher after the gap higher on strong volume. Upside breakout volume was much stronger Monday than the Tuesday/Wednesday sessions. Also has ties to China in the medical instruments field; double good for this market.

NOV 11/29 Dbl btm 75.03 +2.65 70.56 80.95 4.9M 8M 66.76
Buy Not Issued. Modest move higher on rising, near average volume now for NOV. Getting very tantalizing here with as it gains upside momentum on this rising volume. Ready to enter if it can continue this nice upside action.

NUVA 12/10 Rev HS 41.78 +0.21 43.78 51.95 222K 642K 41.57
Buy Not Hit. Doji to hold near the Tuesday low with fading, low volume and keep the 18 day EMA as key support here. Still just needs stronger volume in the recovery move out of this consolidation range from late October inside 41 and 43 to enter.

NYX 11/01 Test BO 86.95 -0.71 91.29 99.95 4.9M 7M 89.94
Current. Continue a bit lower Wednesday from the Tuesday selling on now above average volume to hold the 18 day EMA as support, reaching near the 50 day EMA (84.66) intraday. Nice job of holding support and closing at the 10 day EMA, but needs to rebound from here.

NYX 10/23 Cup 86.95 -0.71 88.85 99.95 4.9M 5M 89.94
Current.

ONXX 12/11 Cup hdl 56.41 +0.46 57.88 69.45 575K 1.9M 55.45
Buy Not Hit. Doji on low volume Wednesday to close flat along the Tuesday selling low. Still trying to work its way higher from the testing low of late November. Has made some progress here in a solid Cup hdl base, just needs stronger volume to really take the base higher for the buy.

PCLN 10/30 Test 50 111.91 +1.67 91.08 99.95 1.3M 1.2M 116.45
Current. Modest rebound from the Tuesday low on average volume Wednesday. Looks to start its way up from this early December pullback this week with rising volume. Decent test to start the month off but now it has to hold and keep the move going as it has been a heck of a run.

POT 11/27 Test 50 129.54 +2.00 113.91 129.95 4.1M 4M 130.22
Great move higher off the Tuesday low with above average volume Wednesday as POT tapped the 10 day EMA at 125 intraday to post some decent gains. Back at the December high here and looks to continue higher in the test of the 50 day.

QMAR 12/11 Rev HS 25.36 -0.30 26.88 32.48 437K 1.5M 25.38
Buy Not Hit. Ran higher intraday but sold through the rest of the session to close with a short step lower from the Tuesday selling. Still on low volume, QMAR looks good to hold at this level and keep the Rev hs pattern nice and tight.

RESP 11/26 Asc Bse 52.17 +0.32 50.98 58.31 861K 500K 50.68
Current. RESP continuing higher on explosive volume Wednesday for some decent gains. Looks to make its way a bit higher this week on this explosive volume.

Current. Doji in the rebound from the Tuesday low with rising, below average volume as RIMM looks to have bottomed in this early December pullback. Found support from the 90 day SMA and support at 100 from October and November. Cannot go lower from here and break this support at the 90 day SMA.

SGR 12/06 PreAnn 63.59 -0.41 68.28 78.55 1.4M 1.8M 66.04
Current. Sold a little bit lower Wednesday to hold the 50 day EMA and late November highs as support at the close. Below average volume in the session as SGR looks to have bottomed in this weeks pullback. Expecting the recovery move from here once volume picks up.

Buy Not Issued. Nice rebound from the Tuesday selling to post a doji at the high Wednesday on below average volume. Still waiting for stronger trade and for SNDA to post some stable moves higher from here past the resistance near 40 for the buy.

Current. Doji in the recovery Wednesday with VIP making up for about half of the selling from Tuesday. Gave a doji on above average volume in the move higher Wednesday and VIP still in pretty decent shape. May hang here a bit more above the 10 day EMA (36.95), but it is one of those foreign telecoms with a lot of backing.

VIP 11/08 Test 18 38.54 +1.46 32.52 40.45 4.1M 3.2M 38.69

Downside Plays
Stock Date Play Close +/- Pivot Tgt Vol TgtV Stop
BA 11/26 Put 86.92 -1.78 91.14 88.54 19M 7.2M 89.34
BA sold even lower after the harsh downside action from Tuesday as it gapped lower on high volume Wednesday with a downgrade. Held the late November low as intraday support and looks to give BA no trouble on this high volume selling from here.

IWM 12/11 Put 76.91 +0.58 76.21 73.15 112M 90M 77.11
Entered today. Got in on IWM Wednesday with the high volume reversal intraday after it surged higher, but only manage to close flat in the session. Expecting some serious selling from here with the above average volume given the problems the small caps are facing.

SPY 12/11 Put 149.37 +1.46 147.98 143.65 320M 200M 149.95
Entered today. Sold off and we moved in but in the last 15 minutes of trade it rebounded on some short covering and held the 200 day SMA which it broke in the afternoon selling. Looks to head lower from here as SPY is dominated by financials which rolled over hardest on Wednesday.

TIE 12/11 Put 28.79 +0.20 28.48 26.45 2.6M 2.5M 28.92
Buy Not Hit. Posted some short gains Wednesday on rising, now average volume as it barely recover any of the hard Tuesday selling. Tapped the 50 day EMA near 30 intraday as resistance and looks to head downhill soon. Just need to see TIE break support at the 18 day EMA here for the buy.

VLO 12/01 Put 66.43 +1.45 64.25 61.15 8.9M 9M 65.22
Current. Oil had a huge session, up almost 4 dollars and the energy stocks were up almost across the board on that kind of move. VLO tapped at the recent intraday highs and faded back, but it still held onto its gain on rising, above average volume. Needs to stall out again here.
