AAPL 12/03 Test 18 199.83 +1.26 184.30 203.95 25M 45M 195.88
Current. a good week for Apple Computer as it rallied off of the 50 day MA test, reaching 200 on the highs. The move slowed at 200, and we took some of the option gain off of the table during the week. No reason to take any of the stock position off the table heading into the new year.
AAPL 11/20 Test 50 199.83 +1.26 175.11 198.95 25M 40M 195.88
Current.
APA 12/27 Test BO 108.45 +1.76 108.56 122.75 1.9M 4.4M 105.77
Entered today. Gapped higher, tested, and then it rebounded to post a nice gain. Added some positions on this move, and look for Apache to be a good winner for us to start 2008.
APA 12/18 PreAnn 108.45 +1.76 105.89 121.45 1.9M 5.3M 105.77
APC 12/18 PreAnn 66.97 +0.72 62.44 71.95 3M 4.5M 64.97
Current. Surged higher to 68 intraday, but sold back for a more modest gains as the market overall, gave back its early session gains. Like how it is consolidating its gains without giving up any ground, waiting for the 10 day EMA (65.00) to rise up to it and send the stock higher.
ATK 12/27 Asc Bse 114.62 -1.88 116.32 130.95 111K 410K 114.38
Buy Not Hit. Love how it tanked to the 50 day EMA the day after we put the play on the report. Moved to the buy point lower to account for this, as it is still a solid team accumulation pattern.
BG 12/26 Test 18 119.03 +1.73 120.31 138.65 724K 1.4M 117.38
Buy Not Hit. Very nice lateral movement above the 18 day EMA as the BG shows at doji at that level. Like how the trading range is tightening as it moves laterally, indicating a break higher is coming.
BG 11/29 Cup 119.03 +1.73 116.55 133.85 724K 1.6M 121.48
BIDU 12/06 DB hdl 398.87 -10.33 395.38 454.00 6.1M 9M 404.88
Trailing Stop. Gapped higher, but then rolled over toward the 10-day EMA. We took the options off the table out of an abundance of caution, ready to let the stock test back and then pick up new shares as it moves higher. With that in mind, we are setting a new by point forward next week as we feel BIDU will be a winner for us in 2008.
CF 12/19 Asc Bse 111.99 -1.88 100.66 119.95 1.3M 3M 113.32
Current. After a very solid move the past week and a half, CF ended the week with some modest losses. This is typical action after a good run, and we are letting the stock test back some and will look for new positions after this initial test of the breakout concludes.
CHU 12/27 DB hdl 22.54 +0.03 23.15 27.95 1.3M 2.6M 21.89
Buy Not Hit. Another day of lateral movement as CHU continues the handle formation to its base. It should wrap up this lateral movement sometime next week, and be ready to show us the breakout.
CMED 12/22 Rev HS 42.57 -0.23 44.05 54.95 230K 1M 41.94
Buy Not Issued. Gap higher but could not hold the move, coming back to test the 50 day SMA on the low. CMT remains in its nine week base, and we look forward to the break out over the next week.
CTRP 12/08 Rev HS 56.59 0.00 58.05 71.88 377K 1.2M 55.68
Buy Not Hit. Continued to hold up the EMA, going about its own business and setting up for the break higher in the new year. We will be patient and let it show us the break above the 10 and 18 day EMA.
CVX 12/22 Rev HS 94.86 +1.11 94.98 108.95 7.9M 10M 92.94
Current. Bounced right back up after an intraday test of the 10 day EMA on the low. A good quick test of the breakout from last week sets CVX in good position for a nice rally next week. A good way to start the new year.
CY 12/04 Cup 36.80 -0.56 35.90 41.65 2.3M 7M 37.21
Current. After a strong start to the week, Cypress tested back to the 10 day EMA to close things out. Low volume, and still in an excellent position to move higher. Indeed, we are looking in new positions off of this very nice test.
CYBS 12/22 Cup 18.84 +0.58 18.03 21.65 1.3M 1.1M 17.77
Current. A very good week for the stock, surging higher on Friday to a new seven-year high. It could not hold all of the gain on the session, but CYBS is an excellent position to score and nice gain for us in early 2008.
DE 12/20 Test 18 92.28 +1.91 88.48 101.55 3.7M 6M 90.04
Current. Gap higher start the week and then moves laterally to close it out, but really like how it held on to the gains even as overall market stumbled to close things out. Well-positioned to move higher for us in early 2008.
DVN 12/26 Rev HS 90.41 +0.29 92.24 105.95 1.9M 4.4M 89.91
Buy Not Hit. Moved laterally to close out the week, but still set up in an excellent pattern to break out for us. It is in the energy sector, so it is in a good sector as well as a good technical pattern.
EDU 12/22 Asc Tri 79.92 -0.53 83.88 99.95 878K 700K 79.92
Buy Not Issued. Ended the week selling down to the 18 day EMA on high-volume, but if it makes a higher low here it is ready to break higher and give us the buy.
ESLR 12/17 Test BO 17.22 -0.72 15.63 18.85 7.8M 7.4M 17.31
Current. Friday was a tough session for the alternative energy stocks, and 80 SLR was not a meaning to the pullback. A lower volume pullback after a strong surge early in the week is rather normal. We will let them make the test, and it holds around 16.50 to 17, we will look for new buys once again on the rebound.
ESLR 11/15 Test 18 17.22 -0.72 14.17 16.95 7.8M 5.4M 17.31
Current.
FCEL 12/18 Test BO 10.32 +0.33 12.12 14.95 4.6M 1.4M 12.42
Current. a tough week for the stock, a gap lower on word of new good contracts. It landed on the 50 day EMA and spent the rest of the week there. It sold off Friday, then made a nice recovery to close modestly higher. We'll see if it can build off of this test lower and rebound and at least give us a better exit point this week.
FMCN 12/15 Test 50 56.84 -1.04 58.65 69.95 1.9M 5M 54.94
Buy Not Issued. Tapped at the 50 day EMA on the low and rebounded modestly. This may simply be a shakeout before break hire, and we will keep watching it in case that is the situation. We are dropping it for now, but will keep an eye on it.
GIGM 12/26 Asc Bse 19.85 +0.15 20.91 25.22 461K 2M 19.45
Buy Not Hit. Ended the week with a pair of doji's at the 10 day EMA. A good spot for the stock to make a higher low and show us a break out from this nicely formed eight week pattern.
GILD 11/27 Dbl btm 46.33 +0.02 44.51 50.75 2.7M 10M 46.27
Current. Gilead continues to toy with us with several false breaks higher right at the 10-day EMA. It remains in an excellent pattern, so we are letting it make these low-volume up-and-down moves as it tries to set up for a break to a new all-time high.
GMCR 12/18 Cup hdl 40.80 +0.25 41.50 49.95 110K 300K 39.69
Current. after gapping higher last week, GMCR spent this week, moving laterally on low volume, testing the move. The 10-day EMA has risen to meet the stock, and we are looking for that to send it higher.
GME 12/15 Test 50 62.30 +0.10 60.98 72.65 1.7M 4M 60.77
Current. Closed the week with a modest date back to the 10 day EMA, where GME is set up nicely to start the new year.
GOOG 12/03 Cup hdl 702.53 +1.79 687.88 742.00 2.5M 8M 713.32
Current. After starting the week higher, GOOG faded toward the end of the week to close out basically flat. Still well-positioned in an excellent ascending base that is using the 50 day EMA as support. If it makes a higher low here at the 10-day EMA, it is set up for a nice strong breakout to the upside to start 2008.
GOOG 11/17 Test 50 702.53 +1.79 659.65 724.95 2.5M 8.6M 713.32
Current.
GSOL 12/26 Asc Bse 27.67 -2.22 31.68 37.95 570K 550K 29.78
Buy Not Hit. Tanked below the 50 day EMA on rising volume. Dropping.
HOLX 12/15 Asc Bse 69.65 -0.17 67.88 77.65 772K 3.6M 69.39
Making the initial tests of the solid breakout from last week, tapping at the 10 day EMA on the Friday low and bouncing to recoup its losses to close flat. We are looking to pick up new positions as it makes a bounce off of this very nice test.
HUM 12/12 Cup hdl 76.04 +0.43 76.67 89.95 504K 2.4M 74.55
Buy Not Issued. Finished the week with a low-volume test of the 18 day EMA. Excellent base-building action that has positioned HUM in excellent shape for a breakout to start the new year.
ICE 12/17 Test BO 189.43 -0.20 185.36 209.95 675K 2.2M 183.08
Current. A good week for ICE as a broke higher and then finished the week out with a low-volume test toward the 10-day EMA. On a bounce off of this test we are looking at new positions.
IMO 12/22 Rev HS 56.51 +0.87 55.15 65.95 147K 325K 54.57
Current. A solid week for IMO, as it broke higher and continued to rally to the end of the week. Not a huge move, but solid and steady, not bad at all given the week in the market.
ININ 12/19 Test 50 27.38 +0.68 26.32 31.75 132K 300K 24.77
Buy Not Issued. An up-and-down week, but it held the 18 day EMA and looks ready to make a higher low for breakout over 28. What see a high-volume move over that level to start positions.
IRM 12/11 Cup hdl 37.02 -0.39 38.52 44.45 442K 991K 36.89
Current. frustrating week. After showing no weakness during the market volatility, IRM broke higher and we entered on Wednesday. It immediately fell back Thursday and Friday, but made a solid rebound to close at the 18 day EMA. That is the silver lining, and we're looking forward to bounce up from there. If it doesn't will look to close it.
ISRG 12/27 Asc Bse 325.14 -4.42 335.35 395.00 532K 2.1M 323.11
Buy Not Hit. Moved lower to end the week at the 18 day EMA. That keeps the stock in its nice nine week pattern, setting up a breakout in the new year.
JNPR 12/26 Cup hdl 33.92 +0.38 35.05 41.95 3.5M 12M 33.68
Buy Not Hit. A good shake out to end the week, with a modest gain on Friday to keep it Juniper well positioned for a breakout from this nicely formed pattern.
MA 12/17 Test 18 210.00 -0.03 211.98 244.95 990K 4.8M 204.22
Current. A very quiet week for MasterCard, moving laterally on low volume and in a narrow range above the 18 day EMA. Even with all of the weakness in the financial stocks, MasterCard continues to show relative strength, and we anticipate that to lead to a new break higher to start the year.
MOS 12/17 FlyPlat 95.84 +0.48 86.10 99.95 3.6M 5M 93.11
Current. What a week for Mosaic. It gapped higher out of its flying plateau in the prior week, they made a steady, rising volume advance this week. We are just going to let this leader continue to move higher for us.
NDAQ 12/13 Cup hdl 49.12 +0.51 48.32 56.00 1.1M 4M 47.68
Current. Got a bit rocky on the Thursday selling, but held above the 10 day EMA and bounced back on Friday. That keeps the stock in excellent position to break higher after this test.
NVDA 12/20 Cup hdl 34.79 -0.35 35.57 41.65 6.5M 14M 33.98
Buy Not Issued. Sold back in the week, but held the 90 day MA. It is still working on the pattern, and this test is another step in setting up the breakout.
NYX 11/01 Test BO 86.36 -0.79 91.29 99.95 2.6M 7M 87.08
Current. Tough finish to the week for NYX as it sold back to tap at the 50 day EMA on the low. It remains in its ascending pattern, making higher lows, and it needs to show us a break higher next week off of this test.
NYX 10/23 Cup 86.36 -0.79 88.85 99.95 2.6M 5M 87.08
Current.
ONXX 12/26 Asc Bse 57.17 -0.44 59.15 70.95 454K 1.8M 56.45
Buy Not Hit. Ended the week with a quiet test of the 10 and 18 day EMA on low volume. More solid work in its base, and we are just being patient and leading the stock setup and then show us the breakout move.
PZE 12/13 Cup hdl 14.75 +1.97 12.84 15.55 3.5M 400K 13.68
Current. After a rather quiet rally up the 10-day EMA, Petrobras exploded higher Friday on a tremendous volume surge. There is no real news that we could see to explain the move, and it looks simply as an institutional buying being binge ahead of the new year.
RIMM 11/27 Test 50 116.94 -0.42 119.22 136.95 14M 32M 116.21
Current. Closed the week with a modest loss. Not a bad week as RIMM consolidates an excellent break higher on earnings from the prior week.
SDS 12/12 Rolling 53.23 +0.19 53.96 60.75 9.4M 21M 54.96
Current. rallied up to the 200 day in May on the Friday high as S&P 500 struggled in the week. S&P 500 still looks weak, but if it breaks higher to start the new year then we will have close this position out.
SID 12/15 PreAnn 89.67 -0.10 82.33 99.95 1.1M 1.4M 87.88
Current. An excellent break higher to start the week, but then a lateral move to close things out on Friday. Still, very solid action, setting the stock up for a new break higher.
SII 12/19 Rev HS 75.34 +1.79 72.11 83.32 1.4M 2.8M 73.78
Annex one week as SII moved higher to close at a new closing high on this move.
SOHU 12/15 Cup hdl 53.12 -1.02 56.68 69.95 844K 2.6M 54.69
Current. After looking solid on Wednesday and breaking higher, SOHU spent the rest of the week selling back. It tapped toward the 50 day EMA on the Friday low. It is still a solid pattern and we are looking for a bounce higher to start next week. On that bounce will look to add some positions.
SPWR 12/04 DB hdl 131.05 -4.08 130.38 149.95 1.7M 2.8M 137.89
Current. As noted above, it was a tough end of the week for the solar stocks. SPWR sold back, but it held above the 18 day EMA on the close. We expect it to hold at this level and start the bounce anew. It is a volatile stock with a high beta, and these types of up-and-down moves are typical.
SRCL 12/27 Asc Tri 60.00 -0.66 60.82 69.95 714K 575K 59.45
Buy Not Issued. Gapped higher but could not hold the move, coming back to tap the 18 day EMA on the session low. It rebounded to recoup some losses. This move filled the gap and sets up the next move higher following the breakout.
SRCL 12/20 Asc Tri 60.00 -0.66 60.38 69.45 714K 575K 58.38
Buy Not Issued.
STLD 12/22 PreAnn 60.46 +0.50 58.69 66.95 998K 2.4M 58.55
Current. An excellent week for the steel stocks as steel dynamics broke higher on solid volume. It closed out the week with a low-volume lateral move. You have to like how it is consolidating its gains without giving up any ground. It will likely test over the next two to three days before it starts its next move higher.
VIP 12/03 Test BO 42.43 -0.25 36.78 42.85 2.6M 5M 42.38
Current. VIP made us some great money in its run higher last week. This week it was testing the move, coming back toward the 10 day EMA (41.24). It may test all the way back to that level before starting back up, but we want to be ready to add to positions as it turns and starts to rally once more.
VIP 11/08 Test 18 42.43 -0.25 32.52 40.45 2.6M 3.2M 42.38
Current.
WFT 12/05 Trnd Rv 70.44 +0.33 67.58 77.95 2.2M 6.1M 69.95
Current. A nice break higher on the week, then closing it out with a low-volume lateral move as WFT starts to consolidate that nice break higher. It may take another session or two to complete the consolidation, but then we expect the stock to break higher once more.
WLT 11/19 Test BO 36.19 -0.35 35.00 40.95 454K 1.6M 36.32
Current. Sold modestly to in the week, but that followed a pretty hefty dump lower on Thursday. It managed to hold some supported 36 so we let it ride into the new week. Not going to give up any more ground.
XTO 12/12 DB hdl 52.74 +0.39 52.88 59.95 2.4M 5M 51.11
Buy Not Issued. Tried to make a breakout on the week but didn't have the volume to push it and it sold back to the 10-day EMA. Friday it held that level and that is a good sign for a break higher to come this week.
YGE 12/17 Cup hdl 38.39 -0.74 35.48 42.50 2.7M 4.3M 39.88
Current. A nice break higher to start the week, but then faded to end things with the test of the 10-day EMA (37.29). A pretty orderly test, and we anticipate that the stock will bounce off of that level and continuous breakout move.

GRMN 12/20 Put 99.17 -1.65 99.88 93.85 2.2M 6.4M 102.32

IWM 12/11 Put 76.56 -0.83 76.21 73.15 48M 90M 76.89
Current. Rode sharply lower again on Friday, capping the week with a solid downside move on both Thursday and Friday. The small caps are showing a very weak pattern and we look for further downside movement.
SPY 12/11 Put 147.30 -0.37 147.98 143.65 116M 200M 145.72
Current. SPY rallied to test the 90 and 200 day MA May midweek, but failed at that level. It is below resistance and looks to run down to the December low near 144 at a minimum.
