APA 01/09 Test 50 104.92 -1.12 107.77 121.75 2M 3.5M 104.95
Buy Not Hit. Holding up quite nicely in all of the selling, fading slightly on lower volume after bouncing sharply off the 50 day EMA (102) midweek. Great strength in the selling, but has to show us another strong volume upside session to get us into it.

APC 12/18 PreAnn 62.20 -0.84 62.44 71.95 3.6M 4.5M 65.38
Current. Tough start to the week sent it down but it easily held above the 50 day EMA (61.06), working laterally, trying to set up for the next break higher. Will have to clear 64 on its next upside attempt. If it fails there we will have to seriously consider closing it as the pattern has turned somewhat toppy - just somewhat.

BG 12/26 Test 18 129.35 +2.25 121.82 139.95 1M 1.4M 125.32
Current. Held the 10 day EMA all week and then jumped higher Friday in a weak market. Still moving up the 10 day EMA and letting it do so.

BG 11/29 Cup 129.35 +2.25 116.55 133.85 1M 1.6M 125.32

BIDU 12/29 Asc Bse 329.25 -10.29 395.24 454.00 4.4M 10M 383.44
Current. Steady though orderly decline to end the week after Monday delivered the hardest drop. The price/volume action was not bad, just could not find any bids. It is at some support at 325 and given the modest volume and orderly fade we waited to see if it catches a bid this week to take it up to 355ish and the 50 day EMA where we will see how it responds to that resistance.

BUCY 01/05 PreAnn 85.44 -5.63 92.11 112.45 1M 900K 88.74
Buy Not Hit. Dropping as it sells below the 50 day EMA on the close.

BX 01/10 Asc Bse 20.06 +0.22 20.32 24.00 8.1M 4.5M 18.88
Buy Not Issued. This was a speculative play and it gapped higher and ran early but we wanted to see how it tested. It tapped just over the 18 day EMA on the high early on and then spent the rest of the session coming back, showing a doji. That kept us out of it and this action Friday is not giving us warm fuzzies about moving in to start this week.

CAM 12/27 PreSplt 48.73 -1.42 49.90 56.75 3.5M 2.5M 50.39
Current. Nice midweek recovery but then faded Friday. Held the 50 day EMA, where it had to in order to have a run at a higher move next week. Good strength in a weak market.

CEO 01/09 Dbl btm 179.17 -4.19 180.92 209.95 425K 600K 175.11
Buy Not Issued. Not a bad week, gapping higher Wednesday on strong volume, then finishing off with a low volume fade Friday. That is setting up a nice buy point for next week if the China stocks can continue the leadership they assumed this past week.

CERN 01/10 Dbl btm 57.71 -1.88 60.38 69.95 538K 826K 57.55
Buy Not Hit. Good move into Friday from this healthcare sector stock, but Friday it could not withstand the selling, closing at the 50 day EMA. Still in good shape to move higher and we just be patient and let it show us it can do it.

CF 01/03 Test BO 112.60 +1.92 115.66 129.95 2.7M 3M 109.78
Current. Up and down all week, but always above near support at the 18 day EMA (108). Tried to really run Friday but gave it back to the close. Still in great shape.

CF 12/19 Asc Bse 112.60 +1.92 100.66 119.95 2.7M 3M 113.32
Current.

CHL 01/03 Asc Bse 85.07 -3.87 88.55 102.95 3M 4.9M 85.09
Current. Great action Wednesday and Thursday but then had trouble Friday, falling toward the bottom of its recent range. Lower volume so will see if it can response along with the rest of the China stocks this coming week.

CHTT 01/08 PreAnn 76.84 +3.24 77.38 88.75 938K 408K 72.98
Entered today. Strong, strong volume as this producer of consumer staples surged off of near support. Came back some off the high but it held up well and we are looking for nice moves from a primo consumer stock.

CMED 12/22 Rev HS 52.19 -0.06 44.28 54.95 546K 1M 49.55
Current. Gapped higher but closed flat to finish an outstanding week. Up when the market was in the toilet. The definition of strength. May come back to test this coming week toward the 10 day EMA (48.72); nothing wrong with that as it sets up the next run and we will look for a possible new buy when that happens.

CPHD 01/07 Cup hdl 30.83 +1.33 28.64 34.35 5.8M 1M 27.98
Current. Excellent close to the week with two strong runs on big volume. Closed off the high Friday (32.25), but not going to sweat that.

CVX 12/22 Rev HS 90.67 -1.23 94.98 108.95 11M 10M 92.94
Current. Fell back to the 50 day EMA (90.89) early in the week, tried to bounce Wednesday, but faded again. Good hold at the 50 day EMA but this is where it has to make its stand as the last move took it to the September high but it could not muster a new high. Has to show some strength off of here to have the power to take it out.

EDU 01/05 Asc Bse 79.61 -3.89 83.32 99.95 458K 750K 86.11
Setting up for the breakout still, holding the 50 day EMA on the lows last week, making a higher low and preparing the breakout.

FTI 01/07 Cup hdl 59.93 -1.73 63.55 75.95 1.5M 1.9M 60.38
Buy Not Issued. Faded to the 18 day EMA to end the week, but still in a great pattern for the break higher as it used the market selling to test and set up the move.

FWLT 01/02 Asc Bse 141.58 -5.98 165.06 188.89 1.5M 1.8M 162.32
Exited. Rallied higher Thursday but failed at the 50 day EMA and could not break through so we closed it.

GILD 01/07 Asc Bse 48.68 +0.46 48.38 55.95 8.7M 10M 47.21
Current. Solid week as GILD broke to a new high on solid trade. Not a huge breakaway but a strong move in a weak market.

GMCR 12/18 Cup hdl 40.70 -0.44 41.50 49.95 330K 300K 39.69
Current. A bit volatile, but in the week it managed to hold its gains, working laterally over the 18 day EMA. A good showing of strength and waiting for a reprieve to let the strength move it higher.

GOOG 12/03 Cup hdl 638.25 -8.48 687.88 742.00 5M 8M 713.32
Current. Tough early week but managed to hold the November low and moved laterally to close the week. Has to make a move here after holding support at 625 again.

GOOG 11/17 Test 50 638.25 -8.48 659.65 724.95 5M 8.6M 713.32
Current.

HAL 01/03 Dbl btm 35.92 -0.27 39.39 45.85 13M 15M 37.65
Current. Tough week for HAL as it started lower hard early in the week, slowing at the close as it held at the 200 day SMA (36). This is its lick log where it has to find support.

HK 01/07 DB hdl 17.77 -0.01 18.48 22.32 2M 2.5M 17.32
Buy Not Hit. Up and down but within a range as it works on the handle to its base. Just waiting to see if this good pattern results in a strong breakout.

HOLX 12/29 Test BO 70.36 +0.62 70.36 80.95 2.7M 3.2M 69.02
Current. Good recovery to end the week after the Tuesday selling that took just about everything down. Strong leader, good sector for this market. Still looks good to move this coming week.

HOLX 12/15 Asc Bse 70.36 +0.62 67.88 77.65 2.7M 3.6M 69.39

HUM 12/12 Cup hdl 84.28 -0.79 77.91 89.95 1.1M 2.4M 83.92
Current. Excellent week giving us a nice gain. Testing back Thursday and Friday on low volume, testing the break higher. Normal action and will let it test toward the 10 day EMA (81.62) to consolidate and set up the next leg higher.

IMA 01/07 Dbl btm 60.02 -2.33 59.21 69.95 828K 1.2M 59.92
Current. Strong week though it was sold some Friday. Volume was up and strong on the gains, low and below average on the Friday selling. Perfect action and after the test it will be ready to continue and we will look at new buys when it does.

IMO 12/22 Rev HS 52.12 -0.88 55.15 65.95 256K 325K 54.57
Current. Not a great week but it managed to hold the 50 day EMA (52.38) on Wednesday and moved laterally to close out the week. Needs to show us a bounce here off of this key support.

MO 01/05 Test 50 79.02 +0.20 76.65 85.95 11M 12M 77.15
Current. Started back up after the early gap higher on the week, but could not keep it going all session. Still a good week and in good position to continue the break higher.

OII 01/03 PreAnn 72.03 -1.21 75.55 90.95 683K 785K 71.35
Buy Not Issued. Spent the week of selling working laterally over the 90 day SMA, fading slightly toward that level as it formed its handle. Very strong action in a very weak market. If it can make the break higher after all of this it is a very strong stock indeed and worthy of our money.

ONXX 12/26 Asc Bse 53.52 -0.90 55.65 70.95 713K 1.8M 56.45
Buy Not Issued. Sold back to the 50 day EMA (53.60) on the week, continuing to work in its 9 week lateral base. This kind of test puts you to sleep but can be the move before the breakout just as in late October. Just being patient. Moved the buy point to 55.65.

SDS 01/10 Test BO 58.75 +0.94 58.88 63.45 22M 25M 56.68
Entered today. Took the gain on our other position as SDS surged, then waited for it to come back to test support. Friday it gapped higher and sold back some, closing off its high. We used that pullback to enter some positions in anticipation of some selling next week.

SLB 12/29 Dbl btm 94.01 -3.08 100.93 114.95 9.9M 12M 99.78
Exited. Could not hold the 50 day SMA so we let it go.

SLT 01/05 Asc Bse 25.76 +0.15 26.68 32.95 766K 2.4M 25.45
Current. Started higher Wednesday on better volume but could not hold the move into the end of the week. Still in good shape, still looking for the breakaway move.

SOHU 12/15 Cup hdl 48.19 -1.31 56.68 69.95 782K 2.6M 54.69
Current. Sold back to the 90 day SMA to start the week and then moved laterally to close it out, trying to move higher but could not get enough push. Closed the week with a doji at the 90 day SMA and still in good position to move higher once more.

STE 01/08 DB hdl 30.44 -0.26 30.45 35.00 501K 700K 29.48
Current. Great break higher mid-week, rallying on the high to the June peak. Could not push through just yet, but in excellent shape to break higher.

TRA 01/09 Test 18 49.24 +2.80 48.48 57.95 7.1M 4.5M 45.44
Entered today. Excellent price and volume break higher, giving us the buy point as it comes off the 18 day EMA and its first test of the December breakout surge. Very nice.

UPL 01/10 Test BO 70.58 -0.74 72.11 82.95 654K 1.5M 69.88
Buy Not Hit. Showed signs of making the next break higher to start the week, but faded back to near support at the 18 day EMA. It held that all week, working laterally on light trade and slowly setting up the next break higher.

VIP 01/03 Test 18 40.88 -1.12 41.88 52.95 1.4M 3.4M 39.95
Buy Not Issued. Quiet week though it did see a volume spike Tuesday at the 18 day EMA (40.85) as VIP worked laterally, still testing the strong break higher in the second half of that month. Nice quit consolidation from this leader and looking for a break this week as it showed excellent relative strength yet again.

VIP 12/03 Test BO 40.88 -1.12 36.78 42.85 1.4M 5M 42.38
Current.

VIP 11/08 Test 18 40.88 -1.12 32.52 40.45 1.4M 3.2M 42.38
Current.

WFT 12/05 Trnd Rv 68.91 +0.98 67.58 77.95 4.9M 6.1M 69.95
Current. Great recovery off the 50 day EMA to end the week. Sold down to that level early on and almost immediately started to recover. That shows plenty of support for this stock as volume was stronger and above average as it did move up.

XTO 12/12 DB hdl 54.81 -0.60 54.13 61.45 7M 5M 53.94
Current. Excellent week as XTO broke higher on strong volume. Closed the week a bit softer, but very strong.

$DJX 01/10 Put 126.06 -2.47 128.41 125.00 1.8M 2.2M 127.11
Buy Not Issued. Failed at the 10 day EMA test and fell quickly. We held off on this one after that quick early decline. It held the lows for the week and we are looking for a bounce early next week after this harsh session, and when that fails we move in.

AG 01/08 Put 63.80 -0.91 63.31 58.55 1.7M 2M 64.65
Buy Not Issued. Rallied back up last week but showed a doji at the early November high. Still watching to see if it will roll over and give us the buy.

CVS 01/10 Put 36.77 -0.86 36.92 34.75 15M 14M 37.77
Entered today. Reached higher once more but then rolled over on rising volume, giving us the buy after the failure at the 200 day SMA.

IWM 01/10 Put 70.22 -1.45 72.88 69.75 120M 150M 73.21
Buy Not Issued. Did not make a further run up to test the 10 day EMA as the market started weak. It held the Thursday lows and we decided to wait for Monday, see what if any more deals emerge in the financial sectors, and move in if the selling resumes. Will likely show a bit of relief move Monday and we can use that to move in. Still plenty of downside here.

SBUX 01/08 Put 19.79 -0.52 19.45 18.00 18M 21M 20.33
Current. Lost some ground Friday after the stronger Thursday move, but it did manage to hold the 10 day EMA on the Friday close. Still below the 18 day EMA (20.12) and still in its downtrend despite the news of its former CEO coming back that gapped it higher Tuesday. We are playing the decline from that gap and we can look at more positions as it breaks lower once more.

SPY 01/10 Put 140.15 -1.14 140.88 136.85 267M 300M 142.38
Entered today. Gave us a decent entry point early on so we took it as it tested toward the 10 day EMA again and rolled over.
